Locke premiered back in September at the Venice Film Festival and more recently played at Sundance, but the first trailer for the Tom Hardy thriller has now made its way online as the film prepares for a proper U.S. release on April 25.
The trailer brings to mind movies like Phone Booth and Buried, with Hardy the sole actor seen onscreen as the entire story unfolds in his car. His character, Ivan Locke receives a phone call that threatens to destroy his life just hours before the biggest day of his career.
The film comes from writer/director Steven Knight, who is most famous for penning Dirty Pretty Things (for which he received an Oscar nomination) and Eastern Promises. Click through for the trailer.
